THE STUDENT BODY

1.1.   Math Center Coordinator  

As the Math Center coordinator (one-course release), since August, 2014, Susanna has continued to update the webpages. Also, she scheduled in-class and walk-in tutoring sessions during her summer work. 

 

The Math Center includes:

1. Tutoring Schedules (using Spring 2018 and Fall 2018 sheets)

2. Dorm Study Flyer 

3. PowerPoint Presentation for in-class tutors to explain

4. Bulletin Board

5. Bi-weekly meetings with tutors

1.2.  Tutored several students in the late afternoon during the fall

         semester of 2018

 

 

THE ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT

2.1.   GSR 104 Coordinator

Revised GSR 104 syllabi with feedback

* Helped the GSR Program Director schedule workshops during the professional development week in Spring 2018 and Fall 2018. One of several accomplishments was to ask three different faculty members to join “Faculty Panel Discussion: The Efficiency of Online/Blended Teaching and Learning" (Spring 2018)

* Attended GSR 104 meetings 

* Made a schedule of course observations (Spring 2018)

* Made course copies via Blackboard (Starfish, Surveys, Intended Links in Bb Course Menu, and so forth)

* Created the training modules of ALEKS

THE UNIVERSITY

3.1.  Appointed as a Digital Fellow of the Association of Chief Academic Officers (ACAO) team: 

* Wrote the report, “Digital Adaptive Learning,” with Michelle Burke, Emily Meehan, and Sara Konkel in June, 2018

* Shared the survey questionnaires (original version in 2015 and latest version in 2018), along with her doctorate course (especially with JHU’s idea of using electronic signature), with the ACAO team for Gallaudet University’s research purposes

3.2.  Appointed as a Gallaudet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (GIEI) fellow from August 2017

to May 2018.

3.3.  Became a part of the GIEI Search Committee in May 2018 to find a new program coordinator for Fall

2018.

3.4.  Appointed as a member of Internationalization (IZN) Workgroup #3: Curriculum, co-curriculum, and learning outcomes.

3.5.  Invited to attend and join Provost Erting’s Interdisciplinary Roundtable Discussion (see the picture and invitation letter) on October 31, 2018, from 1 pm to 3 pm

THE COMMUNITY

3.1.   Attended President Bobbi’s haunted halloween event (Oct. 31, 2018)

3.2.   Attended the student events, such as “Support #GallaudetSolidarity” (Nov. 14th,  2018)

3.3.   Attended Dr. Clifton Langdon’s Responsible Conduct of Research Training: Collaborative Research (Wed, Dec. 12th)

THE PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION

Has been accepted at the National Tutoring Association (NTA) Conference to present a poster, “The Efficiency of the Math Center,” using Gallaudet’s FDC grant
